This is the last Wednesday Webinar for 2024! SLPs are concerned with prandial aspiration and pneumonia and the most common intervention is altering diets and liquids. However, there is a growing body of evidence indicating the practice may not be beneficial and may lead to negative outcomes, leaving SLPs wondering how to move forward. The course reviews the evidence related to aspiration, its association with pneumonia, and suggests an ethical and legal path forward through obtaining informed consent. A Q and A will follow.
